Please continue to support the Healthcare Reform Bill. Your constituents, Democratic and Republican, will remember you for your selflessness and will support your reelection as a result. You certainly have gained my respect already and I’m a lifelong democrat who plans to vote for you.
Regarding the abortion issue, I believe that the best decisions can always be generated between a patient and his or her physician. I do not believe government or religious ideology should ever impose itself on such a personal matter. Please forget your catholic prejudices while you are governing ALL of the people, and simply stick to the Golden Rule.

An excellent article and I agree. I consider myself a Conservative althought I am registered as a Republican so I can vote in the primaries in Arizona. I am pro-life first. He may have voted for an otherwise bad bill, but I won’t hold that against him for the reasons stated in the above article. In fact I am going to make a contribution to his campaign.

Thank you so much for voting for healthcare reform. I am proud of you. It takes serious guts to go against what is safe and popular, and do what is right.

I wish more elected officials shared your world view, and values. Your action is the first thing that makes me think I can vote Republican again.

As a former Republican, I want to thank you for your vote on the Health Care bill. It was very courageous on your part to do the right thing, I was unable to remain a member of the party that I felt turned its back on what is good for America and has allowed religious fanatics and bigots total control.

Your sole Republican vote on the Health Care bill, absolutely confirms there is only one (1) Republican Statesman in the House of Representatives. Again, My Thanks. Ann Wegner
